Jean-François GUENNEC - Chairman

Jean-François GUENNEC, who holds a Master’s Degree in business Intelligence and an Executive-MBA from ESSEC, started his career as an officer in the French army’s Special Forces, where he was attached to military intelligence.

His numerous operational missions took him to various theatres of operation in crisis and war zones, such as Cambodia, Bosnia, as well as Africa and the Middle-East . In 1996, he resigned from the Ministry of Defense and joined the Communications & Systems group, as Export Sales Manager for the defense department.

In 1998, he was appointed marketing director for the "Systems" Division of Thales Communications, before being appointed International Business Development Director of the "Systems/C4ISR" (Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) Division.

He then capitalized on this experience and joined the EADS Defense group in 2004 as Vice President International Business Development with responsibility for the Middle East and Maghreb countries, before being recruited by the Lacroix Defense & Security group as Senior Sales & International Development Director.

In 2007, he move abroad to take up a position as Senior Sales and Marketing Director for the United Arab Emirates group Bin Jabr (2000 employees), based in Abu Dhabi; he held this position for 4 years before being appointed Vice President International Business Development for the Middle East for the Dubai-based Sagem Défense et Sécurité group.

In 2013, he founded Dune Development.

Jacques started his career in New York working for different law firms as Leonard Zacks & Associates then Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier where he specializes in M&A operations before joining Weil, Gothal & Manges actively involved in several LBO operations.

In 2004 he decides to come back to Europe where he is recruited as senior consultant for the Computer Science Corporation and later for Deloitte completing his expertise in strategy consulting for major firms. Nowadays Jacques as chairman of Wil Consulting is advising numbers of French and international CEO’s in several industrial and finance sectors and has acquired a large experience and notoriety nigh mid-cap or large-cap investment funds.

Jacques advises on mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions across a variety of sectors. He acts for large French and global corporations, private equity funds, investment banks and multinational organizations.

Clients appreciate his analytical skills and ability to find answers to their most complex business issues. His focus is always on understanding their business needs and drawing on that knowledge to develop a pragmatic financial solution.

Jacques is still daily playing a key role on behalf international firms participating to their external growth strategy through investment processes in the Middle East or Middle-East corporations willing to invest in Europe.
